Mission
Millions of Americans are concerned about the welfare and needs of the environment and Conservation and Preservation Charities of America is a national alliance of charities tackling these tough issues on a grass roots level. Our member agencies are screened annually to ensure that they meet the highest standards of substantive program services, management and fiscal responsibility. The organization is managed by a volunteer board of directors. Because Conservation & Preservation Charities of America is a 100% volunteer organization, it is considered to be the most efficient and lowest cost alliance of its kind. Gifts made directly to Conservation & Preservation Charities of America are shared proportionally among all our member agencies.
About
The federation's primary purpose is to screen and certify charities that meet standards for inclusion in corporate and government workplace charitable fund drives and to act as the central representative and fiscal agent in those drives, thereby reducing fund raising costs for both the charities and contributors. These expenses relate to distributions to the thirty-one member agencies from amounts collected through the campaign.
