Mission
The heart of Union Gospel Mission ministry is to glorify Jesus Christ through the evangelization and regeneration of the urban poor, while worshiping with acts of mercy. To serve these ends, the mission provides a Christ centered environment, clothing, food, shelter, spiritual training, and a recovery program. We serve the Greater Sacramento area, but are not subject to a specific location. Any individual to comes to our doors we welcome with open arms- no matter how far.

Food and care program provides food, shelter, and clothing to the homeless. Men have access to showers twice a day, for a 2 hour period, to take care of their personal hygiene needs. In 2018, 6,159 showers were provided and we gave out 11,315 hygiene items. We serve approximately 7,735 meals a month and twice a week we distribute food boxes to help families within our community. In 2018, we gave out 525 food boxes. We offer 56 beds, 365 days of the year, providing a safe overnight environment off the streets. In 2018, 20,440 men utilized this part of the program.
