Animal Samaritans SPCA, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal welfare organization committed to promoting the welfare of animals in the greater Coachella Valley. Thousands of animals annually are the recipients of low or no cost spay and neuter, vaccination services, "no-kill" sheltering, as well as animal adoptions. Furthermore, Animal Samaritans provides no cost animal assisted therapy and humane education services to the Coachella Valley.During the current tax year: - Approximately 5,650 surgeries were performed, of which 1,570 were provided as low-cost and no-cost surgeries. - 193 sheltered pets were provided medical services, including spay and neuter. - Approximately 256 were rescued and adopted through the Adoption Alliance/Rescue program and an additional 246 pets from 150 seniors were financially supported through various Senior Funds. - Through the Humane Education program, five educational Critter Camps were held during the summer across the Coachella Valley, which were attended by approximately 125 kids.
