inquilinos unidos 2018 accomplishmentstenant resource clinics: inquilinos unidos provides free weekly walk-in clinics to the general public in spanish & english regarding housing safety and code violations, evictions, unlawful rent increases, and rent control issues. during 2018, volunteer attorneys participated every monday, during clinic hours, and assisted 1,170 families. also, during 2018, 2,125 families were helped via telephone calls.housing policy and advocacy: inquilinos unidos participated in over 20 meetings with public agencies, partner organizations and community members regarding affordable housing and slum housing conditions at the local, state, and national level public & advocacy campaigns have empowered tenents with information about their housing rights. overall, in 2018, inquilinos unidos reached more than 1,600 families.
