Community service: Grants were made to local not-for-profit organizations including Friends of the Westwood Library, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Los Angeles Musical Salon, Meals on Wheels, Dive Warriors, Foundation Think Again, UCLA Sarcoma Research, various Veterans Administration and related programs, Salvation Army's Westwood Homeless Transitional Village and the Collins-Katz Family YMCA (primarily to underwrite a physical education program for low income elementary school students and the YMCAs Parkinsons Plus program).
