Our mission is to create a more humane and democratic society by responding to the needs and problems of disenfranchised people through leadership development and educational programs based on popular education methodology. Specifically, our goal is to organize and educate low-wage immigrant workers and their families concerned with solving problems in their own communities.

Workers rights and economic development: IDEPSCA operate four day labor resource centers located in Wilmington, Hollywood, Cypress Park, and the fashion district downtown LA, to serve as workforce and leadership development hubs for day laborers, household workers & their families under contract with the city of Los Angeles. Annually, about 800 work members are registered and connected to thousands of short and long term employment opportunities. Workers also receive access to workforce development training including OSHA, EPA and welding certification programs as well as opportunities onsite for ESL programs, referrals for housing, immigration support, and support to file wage claims.
