About this organization
Mission
To empower individuals and communities impacted by violence and trauma through a transformative healing arts program.
About
AWBW's transformative healing arts program empowers individuals and communities impacted by violence and trauma, replacing violence and shame with safety and hope. In 2018, we reached 31,929 adults and children by collaborating with 599 art workshop facilitators at 239 human service agencies in 33 states. Incorporating our trauma-informed, peer-driven arts curriculum into their services gives human service providers a powerful way to build safety, trust, communication and connection - all vital resources in the healing process.
