Since its start in 1991, the Endangered Habitats League has provided environmental participation and community outreach for Californias Natural Communities Conservation Plan and other land planning programs. Activities include participation in local and state advisory groups, review and analysis of technical documents, participation in legal proceedings, comment preparation and/or initiation of relevant scientific studies.In 2018, EHL continueto maintain the integrity of Riverside and San Diego County general and multiple species conservation plans, and with the Orange County Transportation Corridor Agency on future tollroad locations. EHL serves on the Board of Directors of the Tejon Ranch Conservancy and on important land protection advisory committees for San Diego and Orange Counties, in the latter directing Measure M open space funding to create critical low elevation connectivity between NCCP regions. In San Bernardino County, in 2018, EHL continued its work to preserve one of the last places with habitat for the endangered San Bernardino Kangaroo Rat.
