About this organization
Mission
Humane Treatment of Cats
About
To provide shelter, food and medical care for homeless cats. In 2018 there were 197 cats relinquished to the shelter with 176 adopted out. There were 226 cats sheltered at the end of 2018. Unwanted, adoptable cats are provided a comfortable place to live out their lives. "Life-time Care" is provided for the unadoptable cats and for cats belonging to people who are no longer able to provide appropriate care. Medical care includes entry exams, continuing medical needs, and neutering. Cats are euthanized only when medical treatment cannot improve their condition and/or comfort. Unlike most animal shelters, we do not euthanize cats that are adoptable but not selected for adoption. In that respect, we are a true "No-Kill" shelter.
