LANAKILA WORKFORCE RESOURCES: OFFERS TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES AND PRACTICAL WORK EXPERIENCE AT A NETWORK OF 59 TRAINING AND SUPPORTED WORKSITES TO DEVELOP THE SKILLS, BEHAVIORS AND CONFIDENCE NEEDED FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES TO SUCCESSFULLY SEEK, OBTAIN, AND MAINTAIN EMPLOYMENT IN THE COMMUNITY. LANAKILA WORKFORCE RESOURCES ALSO PROVIDES SUPPORTIVE PROGRAMS THAT PROVIDE INDIVIDUALS AN OPPORTUNITY TO GAIN OR IMPROVE SOFT SKILLS THAT WILL ALLOW THEM TO EXPAND THEIR PERSONAL INDEPENDENCE. THESE SKILLS CAN IMPROVE AN INDIVIDUAL'S ABILITY TO RETAIN EMPLOYMENT OVER TIME, AS WELL AS PROVIDE A HIGHER QUALITY OF LIVING OVERALL.
