Mission
To educate and provide educational programs for youth, college and veterinary students, visitors and others. Provide residential internships and externships in the veterinary sciences. Accept animal rescue into this lifetime sanctuary.
About
The organization held over 250 educational programs with over 800 attendees. Housed over 125 animals in lifetime care. Volunteers served as lead animal rescuers during the volcanic eruption saving over 75 animals. Hosted 6 pre-veterinary students, 2 veterans and 2 high school students in residential internships. Led volunteer teams in disaster, safety, animal health and welfare training including those employed by the humane society. Passed the 21st USDA inspection with no non-compliant items of any kind. The organization remains the only accredited sanctuary in the state of Hawaii.
