The memo line in a donation is a powerful tool that allows donors to specify how they want their donation to be used. This feature is particularly useful when donating to non-profits with multiple initiatives, as it ensures that your funds are distributed according to your preferences.
At Daffy, we understand the importance of this feature and have made it a key part of our donation process. When making a donation through Daffy, you can set the amount you wish to give and then tap the Settings icon to access the “Private memo” options. These options include specific causes such as Ukraine Relief, Missionary Fund, Annual Gift, and many more. If none of these categories apply to your intended donation, you can select "Other Specific Use" and write your custom instructions for the charity.
All donations made through Daffy are accompanied by a letter that includes information from the donor and a memo line indicating the donor’s intent for the donation. Most donations made by Daffy members are designated “for where needed most,” meaning that the donation is unrestricted. However, the flexibility of our platform allows for both restricted and unrestricted giving.
At Daffy, we encourage people to think about the impact they want to have with their charitable giving. By providing a clear and easy way to specify the use of your donation, we help you and the nonprofits you care about achieve your goals.
Start giving with Daffy today and make a difference in the way you donate. Whether you want to support a specific cause or give where it's needed most, Daffy is the Donor Advised Fund for you.
