Mission
Sadie Nash Leadership Project, founded in 2001, provides award-winning experiential social justice education to over 500 young women and gender-expansive youth in New York City and Newark each year. Operating at the intersections of love and rigor, Sadie Nash Leadership Project utilizes the methodology of popular education to build community, critical consciousness, and college and career readiness for our students. We lay a foundation so that our participants (whom we refer to as Nashers) can lead lives in committed pursuit of joy and liberation for themselves and their communities. Over twenty years, we have built a community of over 10,000 Nashers and Sadie Nash alums who have grown into young adults in the context of our supportive programs.

Summer programming includes (1) our 6-week summer institute, (2) SET (summer empowerment training), an advanced course for alumnae, (3) the Dean summer internship for college students who train and facilitate at summer institute and SET, and (4) Camp College, a week long program to support out participants who start college in the fall.
