Mission

The InterAgency Council of Developmental Disabilities Agencies, Inc. (IAC), with over 150 members, is the largest provider association in New York for non-profit agencies that support individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities. IAC members provide services and supports to individuals with I/DD throughout their lifespan. It is estimated that over 90,000 individuals receive services from IAC member agencies. Our Mission Statement is: IAC creates value by providing tools for its members to succeed.

THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IN PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT AND RATE SETTING, REPRESENTATION IN CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS REGULATORY AFFAIRS AND RATE METHODOLOGY. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PROVIDES TRANSPORTATION FOR DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED CONSUMERS. Through June 30 2017, our Transportation program managed the Daily transportation from and to the residences and day programs for 6,000 people with developmental disabilities. Our Training program included 139 workshops attended by 2,965 registrants from our members and nonmembers staffs. Annually, our staff responded to approximately 3,000 regulatory and best practices questions from our member agencies.
