About
Abilityone program accomplishments: During fiscal 2019, NIB and its associated nonprofit agencies employed 5,982 people who are blind, including veterans who are blind. In fiscal 2019, NIB and its associated agencies generated 311 new job opportunities for blind people through product manufacturing and service delivery. NIB delivers innovative professional training to people who are blind to help them build knowledge-based careers; 21 participants who are blind completed business management training, which develops leadership skills and business acumen. In fiscal 2019, 423 people who are blind were promoted or obtained competitive positions within NIB associated agencies or their communities as a result of training and rehabilitation services.
