Mission
Vision Ed Inc works to ensure that making things is intrinsic to education. We work with youth and educators to support authentic learning experiences using technology, giving the learner control of both design and creation. In doing this, VEI is counteracting deep-seated trends in education. We pay particular attention to our impact on disenfranchised student populations as well as youth who have been failed by traditional education, in New York City and beyond.

In the 2018-19 school year, Vision Ed Inc will be serving over 700 students in grades K-12 in the underserved neighborhoods of the South Bronx and Brownsville. Through the development and implementation of technology-based programs and the integration of these programs into the classroom, Vision Ed provides engaging, participatory learning for students and professional development opportunities for teachers. Our project-based STEAM programming also supports helps students to acquire essential skills in critical thinking, independent problem solving, and democratic behavior, fostering in them the competence and confidence to grow and achieve within their community, society, and the 21st century global community.
