HAVENHOUSE IS THE ONLY HOSPITALITY HOUSE IN THE REGION THAT SERVES PATIENTS OF ALL AGES WITH ANY MEDICAL CONDITION, AND PROVIDES 24/7 FULL-SERVICE SUPPORT SERVICES TO PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES. IN FISCAL YEAR (FY) 2018, HAVENHOUSE OPENED ITS DOORS TO 6,672 PEOPLE (2,686 PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES). AN ASTONISHING 82% OF THEIR PATIENTS QUALIFY FOR MEDICAID BY MISSOURI STANDARDS. THESE FAMILIES ARE STRUGGLING WITH BASIC NECESSITIES, AND CANNOT AFFORD TO BE SICK AND AWAY FROM HOME. FOR THESE PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES, HAVENHOUSE IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SICKNESS AND HEALTH. HAVENHOUSE IS A VITAL PARTNER WITH THE ST. LOUIS MEDICAL COMMUNITY, PLAYING AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN HELPING TO IMPROVE MEDICAL OUTCOMES AND REDUCE STRESS ON FAMILY MEMBERS.THE PRIMARY MEDICAL CONDITIONS FACING PATIENTS AND FAMILIES IN NEED OF HAVENHOUSE'S HOUSING AND SUPPORT INCLUDE PREMATURE BIRTH, CANCER TREATMENTS, ORTHOPEDIC AND RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERIES, CARDIAC CARE, REHABILITATION THERAPIES, AND TRANSPLANTS. SINCE OPENING IN 2005, THE ORGANIZATION HAS SERVED 34,968 PATIENTS AND 93,210 PEOPLE INCLUDING FAMILY MEMBERS, ENCOMPASSING ALL 50 STATES AND 65 COUNTRIES. 70% OF ALL PATIENTS ARE CHILDREN.HAVENHOUSE ST. LOUIS HAS BEEN AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF THE HEALTHCARE HOSPITALITY NETWORK (HHN), WHICH DEVELOPS BEST PRACTICES, TRAINING AND EDUCATION FOR HOSPITALITY HOUSES THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY. OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR CURRENTLY SERVES AS AN HHN NATIONAL BOARD OF DIRECTOR. HAVENHOUSE IS ALSO ONE OF ONLY 200+ ST.
