About

Girls' After-School Sports (GASP) is Team Up Philly's core program, and is offered to girls in low-income neighborhoods of Philadelphia. In GASP, girls from 4th-12th grades learn basketball and other sport-specific skills as well as positive traits that can be practiced and mastered through playing sports: cooperation, resilience, teamwork, discipline, and respect. Girls learn to challenge and support themselves and each other, building strong character traits and a positive peer network. Team Up Philly girls are not just playing; they are changing the trajectory of their lives.
