Community Health Centers of the Rutland Region was formed in 2004 as a non-profit 501(c)(3) as a separate healthcare center in order to better serve the community of the Rutland Region in their healthcare needs. In 2006 CHCRR received its federally qualified health center (FQHC) status. The organization's mission statement is 'to improve and promote the health of all residents of our service area by reducing health disparities through expanded access to quality primary care and coordination of extended services, regardless of income or insurance status.' CHCRR provides a wide range of healthcare services, including dental services, behavioral health services, nursing home care, access to discounted pharmaceuticals as well as a complete range of primary care services. CHCRR offers a sliding fees discount to patients, based on their family size and household income. CHCRR accepts all patients, regardless of their insurance status or income.
