September 8, 2018, the educational institute sponsored the sixth annual Barber Beast on the Bay at Presque Isle State Park which included a 10 mile obstacle course challenge that attracted more than 1,430 adults from 20 states, as well as a 1 mile course adapted for adults with disabilities that registered more than 130 individuals.
