S.T.A.R.T - Two hour elemntary after school curriculum which focuses on techniques that support academic retention and progression. Approximately 50 to 70 students are assisted by trained college and high school students in the tutorial process to engage them in the homework comprehension and completion. Workshops consist of a wide range of core academic subjects as well as basic life skills such as the value of nutrition and conflict resolution strategies. Recreational activities such as games, movies, museum/theater visits, and parties act as accomplishment based incentives to ensure that students also have fun.
