About this organization
Mission
Provide emotional & spiritual support for orphans & widows affected by HIV/AIDS in rural Africa
About
Our mission is to empower orphans & widows affected by HIV & AIDS in Uganda through education, medical care and treatment, spiritual nourishment and entrepreneurship, resulting in self-reliance. We partner with local Christian leaders & development organizations, empowering each person to discover their God-given gifts & passions. Together, we assess quality of life, identify physical, spiritual & social needs & implement innovative strategies to meet these needs within the community. In 2019, we provided 35 high school/college scholarships, built two new homes for widows, provided quality healthcare to 400 women and children with our clinic, managed 125 community members in our village bank, successfully organized and sent two teams from USA to serve the community, organized weekly Saturday kids program, donated dry food to the widows throughout the year, and hosted a grand opening to the Hall of Hope (over 8,000 square feet). It has a large hall, classrooms, offices, and bathrooms for program purposes. For Christmas, we successfully fundraised and bought a 2017 bus to help mobilize our community members across 30 villages.
