About

FAHE WAS FOUNDED AS AN ORGANIZATION TO PROMOTE AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN APPALACHIA BUT HAS EXPANDED ITS GOALS TO NOT ONLY BE A LEADER IN HOUSING CONCERNS, BUT TO PARTNER WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS TO IMPACT REGIONAL ISSUES SUCH AS ENERGY EFFICIENCY, HEALTH, EDUCATION, AND ISSUES FOR THE AGING AND ELDERLY. ONE OF THE WAYS IT ACHIEVES THIS IMPACT IS BY HAVING A DIVERSE SET OF BUSINESS LINES THAT RELY ON PARTNERSHIP TO SERVE THE REGION. FAHE ALSO HAS A COMMUNITY LENDING FUND, WHICH OFFERS FINANCING FOR MULTI-FAMILY HOUSING PROJECTS, COMMUNITY FACILITIES, AND MEDICAL FACILITIES THROUGHOUT APPALACHIA. FURTHERMORE, THE 50+ MEMBER FAHE NETWORK EMPLOYS OVER 4,000 FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES.
