The Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley keeps families with children facing medical challenges close to each other and to the care and resources they need. The Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley provides families with critically ill and traumatically injured children an atmosphere of comfort, hope and courage, keeping them close to the care and resources they need. The House has 12 bedrooms that are filled to capacity almost every night. We also provide meals, laundry and respite services for our families during their stay. Located on the campus of the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY, the House is just steps away from the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital. Since it opened in 2011, more than 2,000 families have called our House their Home.

MEAL PROGRAM: WHILE DEALING WITH THEIR CHILD'S MEDICAL ISSUES, FAMILIES OFTEN DON'T HAVE THE TIME, RESOURCES, OR ENERGY TO MAKE A MEAL FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR FAMILY. OUR MEAL PROGRAM IS A WAY FOR INDIVIDUALS, GROUPS, ORGANIZATIONS, AND EVEN LOCAL BUSINESSES TO PROVIDE A HOME-COOKED MEAL TO THE GUEST FAMILIES STAYING AT THE RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE OF THE GREATER HUDSON VALLEY.IN 2018 OUR CORE HOUSE PROGRAM PROVIDED 237 OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATIONS FOR FAMILIES WHO HAD CHILDREN AGE 21 OR YOUNGER RECEIVING TREATMENT AT LOCAL HOSPITALS FOR ILLNESS OR INJURY. OUR DAY PROGRAM PROVIDED RESPITE SERVICES TO AN ADDITIONAL 52 FAMILIES. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES SERVICES OF THE HOUSE TO FAMILIES WHO ARE WAITLISTED DUE TO UNAVAILABILITY OR UNABLE TO RECEIVE AN OVERNIGHT ROOM. OUR MEAL PROGRAM SERVED 526 MEALS (13,150 PLATES OF FOOD)
