About this organization
Mission
To advance cultural renewal in light of the western and Christian intellectual traditions.
About
The Thomas International Center has a broad goal: cultural renewal in light of the western and Christian intellectual traditions. The specific objectives are, first, working with students at nationally renowned universities to help them achieve a more integrated education, drawing on the classical Christian heritage of western civilization; second, promoting scholarship in the classical and Christian intellectual tradition, especially as represented by Thomas Aquinas, which offers a sound framework for addressing the many social problems we have today; and third, sponsoring programs open to the public to clarify important issues facing society, especially in light of principles of classical and Christian western civilization and the American founding. In furtherance of this purpose, the organization sponsored and organized several public forums at which theologians they had recruited spoke on these issues. It is also committed to provide an online teaching platform in partnership with some existing Catholic universities.
