Intercollegiate athletics, intramurals, and club sports: expenses support the 17 intercollegiate varsity NJCAA sport teams, as well as the intramural and club sports serving over 650 students annually. As well as serving over 600 community children for various sport camps and clinics. The 18-19 season saw 16 of the 17 NJCAA varsity teams advance into the postseason and several programs capture Mid-State Athletic Conference and NJCAA Region III championships. OCC athletics also crowned 3 individual men's tennis players as NJCAA Division III national champions; earned an individual title in NJCAA Division III high jump; as well as earning the 2019 NJCAA national championship in men's lacrosse. Intramurals program was highlighted by a successful basketball league that saw 147 difference OCC students participate. The overall focus of the athletic department remains to support the academic mission of the college and support students through a holistic approach to see the academic, personal and social growth and gains of each student.
