Rainbow Hospice Care offers comprehensive end-of-life care to patients and families. This expert care is provided by an interdisciplinary team including registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, medical social workers, chaplains, grief counselors, physicians, registered dietitians, pharmacists and volunteers. Our staff and volunteers focus on each patient's individual needs with an emphasis on providing comfort and dignity during this last part of their life's journey. Families are supported with their care giving role and grief support is provided for a minimum of thirteen months following the patient's passing. We provided 40,573 days of care to 610 patients during 2018. Approximately $152,000 of services were provided at a discounted cost or no cost to patients meeting our charitable care guidelines. Members of the local community volunteered 8,970 hours to the organization in 2018.
