The primary goal of Pearls for Teen Girls is to help at-risk girls, particularly those facing the challenges of poverty, to achieve in school, take responsibility for their behavior, avoid teen pregnancy, violence and other negative traps, and ultimately, use their personal power to reach their goals and dreams. Pearls girls practice important skills including listening to and understanding the viewpoints of others, communicating clearly, thinking critically, and making sound decisions. Pearls girls develop social, emotional and intellectual tools to help them create a positive life vision, develop success skills, serve as community role models, and access the resources they need to achieve their goals. 100% of active Pearls girls high school seniors graduated. 100% of graduating seniors are on track for post-secondary success. 99.8% of active participants chose not to get pregnant during the 2018/2019 program year.
