CAMP TRAINING / PRODUCTIONS: 9 3-WEEK LONG CAMPS ARE HELD DURING THE SUMMER, STAFFED WITH 2-5 EMPLOYEES. CAMPS CULMINATE IN MUSICAL OR NON-MUSICAL PRODUCTIONS. 2 CAMPS WITH APPROXIMATELY 30 STUDENTS EACH ARE FOR AGES 4 TO 7. THERE ARE 4 CAMPS WITH APPROXIMATELY 40 STUDENTS EACH FOR AGE 7 TO 12. THERE IS ONE TEEN CAMP FOR AGES 12 TO 19 WITH ABOUT 35 STUDENTS. THERE IS 1 ACTING, NON-MUSICAL THEATRE CAMP FOR STUDENTS AGES 10 TO 19 WITH APPROXIMATELY 20 STUDENTS. THE CULMINATING PRODUCTIONS OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED CAMPS INCLUDE COSTUMES, LIGHTS/SETS, AUDIENCE, AND MULTIPLE PERFORMANCES. IN ADDITION, WE OFFER 8 ONE-WEEK CAMPS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FOR AGES 4-7 & 7-12 WITH APPROXIMATELY 15-25 STUDENTS IN EACH CAMP THAT INCLUDE A CASUAL PERFORMANCE AT THE END OF EACH SESSION. SPINDRIFT PRODUCES A LARGE-SCALE SHOW EACH YEAR IN DECEMBER/JANUARY WITH AN ENTIRE YOUTH CAST. PARTICIPATION IS BY AUDITION ONLY. STUDENTS REHEARSE FOR 4 MONTHS AND IT IS PRODUCED ON THE PACIFICA SPINDRIFT PLAYERS THEATRE MAIN STAGE. APPROXIMATELY 40 STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN THIS PRODUCTION THAT HOLDS OVER 15 PERFORMANCES FOR A PAYING AUDIENCE OF APPROXIMATELY 1500-2000 PEOPLE OVER THE COURSE OF THE PRODUCTION. FUNDRAISING FOR OUR TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (SCHOLARSHIPS) TAKES PLACE DURING THIS TIME OF YEAR AND THROUGHOUT THE RUN OF THIS PRODUCTION.
