Mission

To work in partnership with others to provide safe, durable, affordable housing for Minnesota's homeless, veterans and others in need. As the charitable arm of BATC-Housing First Minnesota, the foundation partners with local homeless service providers and taps the talents and resources of the association's member builders, remodelers, suppliers, and volunteers to build new or renovate existing transitional housing facilities for those experiencing homelessness.

About

Hearts in Housing: In 2018 the foundation partnered with local non-profits to complete three community build projects for those experiencing homelessness: renovation of four apartments used for family outpatient treatment with partner Avivo, new home construction for homeless women veterans with partner MACV, renovation of a home for transitional housing for mothers to reunite with children after incarceration with partner Together for Good and Emmaus Lutheran Church. These projects provided 11,000 square feet of transitional housing, 23 new and renovated shelter beds, and 91 individuals accessing safe and affordable housing in our community.
