THE YMCA CHILD CARE PROGRAMS OFFER HIGH QUALITY CHILD CARE ACTIVITIES FOR PRESCHOOL AND SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN FROM ALL SEGMENTS OF OUR COMMUNITY. WE OFFER STATE LICENSED PRESCHOOL AND AFTER SCHOOL CHILD CARE PROGRAMS, FULL AND PART-TIME, WHICH PROVIDE A SAFE AND NURTURING ENVIRONMENT WHERE YOUTH CAN DEVELOP SELF-ESTEEM, GOOD VALUES AND AN APPRECIATION OF CHARITABLE SERVICE. OUR SUMMER CHILD CARE PROGRAMS OFFER ADVENTURE AND LEARNING ACTIVITIES THAT PROVIDE CHALLENGE, EDUCATION, AND PROMOTE SPIRITUAL AWARENESS, MENTAL DEVELOPMENT, PHYSICAL WELL BEING, SOCIAL GROWTH, AND SELF-RESPECT. IN 2018, WE SERVED 199 PERSONS IN OUR COMMUNITY AND PROVIDED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IN THE AMOUNT OF $34,236.THE YMCA OFFERS A VARIETY OF YOUTH SPORTS PROGRAMS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO BASKETBALL,GYMNASTICS,& SOCCER. DUE TO THE GROWING NATIONAL OBESITY RATES OUR HEALTH AND WELL BEING PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED TO HELP PEOPLE SET REALISTIC GOALS FOR SELF IMPROVEMENT AND DISEASE PREVENTION THROUGH AN ACTIVE LIFESTYLE, PROPER NUTRITION, STRESS MANAGEMENT, AND HEALTH EDUCATION. THE YMCA PROGRAMS PROMOTE INTERACTION, TEAMWORK AND DEVELOPMENTAL OF MORAL AND ETHICAL BEHAVIOR, SOCIAL SKILLS AND SELF ESTEEM. WE SERVE ALL AGES, ABILITIES, RACES, NATIONALITIES AND RELIGIONS AND PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO THOSE WHO NEED IT. IN 2018 WE SERVED 979 PERSONS IN OUR COMMUNITY AND PROVIDED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IN THE AMOUNT OF $62,978.YMCA OFFERS INSTRUCTIONAL CLASSES & GROUP ACTIVITIES THAT PROMOTE RESPONSIBLE ATTITUDES & HELP BUILD HEALTHY BODIES. APPROXIMATELY 887 PARTICIPATED AND PROVIDED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE OF $70,073.
