Mission
Young Artists of America at Strathmore's goal is to provide gifted and committed young performing artists unique performance and educational opportunities in a professional, nurturing and collaborative environment. Young Artists of America at Strathmore (501c3) is the region's premier training organization collaborative performing artists. It is the only known program in the nation where high school students receive mentorship and individualized instruction from renowned artists while training to perform fully-orchestrated works of music-theatre in state-of-the-art venues, including the Music Center at Strathmore, where YAA resides as the Arts Center’s first Affiliate Organization.

YAA performances: YAA presented one large-scale production: 'Les Miserables' on March 16, 2019, at the Music Center at Strathmore. The production featured more than 300 high school and middle school performers, and included a guest chorus from a local high school. YAA also presented 'Annie Get Your Gun' at the Clarice Performing Arts Center at the University of Maryland on October 28, 2018 and YAA's middle school program, YAA Junior, presented 'Mary Poppins Jr.' at AMP by Strathmore on May 5, 2019.
