THE MISSION OF SALT AND LIGHT LEADERSHIP TRAINING FOUNDATION INC (SALLT) IS TO TRAIN LEADERS AND FUTURE LEADERS TO BE SALT AND LIGHT BY HELPING THEM IN THREE WAYS. FIRST, BY UNDERSTANDING GOD'S PURPOSEFULNESS IN CALLING THEM AS LEADERS WITHIN THEIR COMMUNITY AND BY HELPING THEM CLARIFY HOW TO BEST WALK OUT THAT CALLING. SECOND, TO HELP THEM UNDERSTAND THAT ALL HUMANS POSESS A WORLDVIEW THAT INFLUENCES HOW THEY EXPRESS THEIR LIVES. AS CHRISTIANS, OUR GOAL IS FOR OUR WORLDVIEW TO COME INTO CONFORMITY WITH THAT OF JESUS CHRIST AND THUS SALLT HELPS LEADERS CREATE A BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW. THIRD, BY HELPING THESE LEADERS TO THINK STRATEGICALLY AND WORK IN UNITY TOWARD INFLUENCING THEIR COMMUNITY WITH THE LOVE OF GOD. SALLT HELPS CHRISTIAN LEADERS TO FULLY WALK OUT GOD'S PLAN FOR THEIR LIVES IN SERVICE TO THEIR COMMUNITY.

APPROXIMATELY FIFTY LEADERS FROM VARIOUS WALKS OF LIFE PARTICIPATED IN AN EIGHT SESSION LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM THAT INCREASES UNDERSTANDING OF THE CHALLENGES FACING THEIR COMMUNITY. THE VISION IS TO CULTIVATE PERPETUATING, MULTI-GENERARATIONAL CHRISTIAN LAY LEADERSHIP WILLING TO BE BOTH 'ELDERS AT THE GATES- AND 'WATCHMEN ON THE WALL-; MEN AND WOMEN COMMITTED TO INFLUENCING THE CULTURE OF THEIR COMMUNITY FOR JESUS CHRIST. THROUGH THIS PROGRAM, LEADERS ARE BETTER PREPARED TO MAKE A POSITIVE AND LASTING IMPACT ON THE FUTURE OF THEIR COMMUNITY, AND IN TURN, COMMUNITIES FIND THEMSELVES HEALTHIER, SAFER AND MORE PRODUCTIVE PLACES TO LIVE.
