HOPE ANIMAL RESCUE IS A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION COMMITTED TO IMPROVING THE LIVES OF STRAY AND ABANDONED PETS IN NORTH CAROLINA. WE PROMOTE COMPASSIONATE AND HUMANE TREATMENT OF ALL ANIMALS, REGARDLESS OF BREED OR SPECIES. WE RESCUE THOSE UNLIKELY TO GET OUT OF THE SHELTER SYSTEM ALIVE, AND HAVE A HEART FOR SENIOR DOGS AND THOSE WITH MEDICAL NEEDS. WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE, AND ALL FUNDING GOES BACK TO BENEFIT THE ANIMALS.

HOPE ANIMAL RESCUE HAS RESCUED MORE THAN 1000 AT RISK ANIMALS SINCE FEBRUARY 2013. WE TAKE CARE OF ALL VETERINARY CARE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ORTHOPEDIC SURGERY, HEARTWORM TREATMENT, DENTAL SURGERY, HEART SURGERY/CARE, TUMOR REMOVAL, MATERNITY CARE, VACCINES, SPAY/NEUTER, PREVENTATIVES, AND MAINTENANCE MEDICATIONS FOR ACUTE AND CHRONIC CONDITIONS. WE PROVIDE TRAINING FOR BEHAVIORALLY CHALLENGED DOGS, UTILIZING HUMANE METHODS TO CHANGE UNWANTED BEHAVIORS. WE ARE A NO-KILL ORGANIZATION, WHO BELIEVES IN GIVING THEM A CHANCE. WE HAVE IN LIMITED CAPACITY, ASSISTED OWNERS WITH SPAY/NEUTER, FOOD ASSISTANCE, VETERINARY CARE, AND RE-HOMING ASSISTANCE OF THEIR PETS. WE DONATE EXTRA FOOD TO PAWS ON DURHAM FOR THEIR MEALS ON WHEELS PROGRAM FOR LOW INCOME DURHAM RESIDENTS WHO NEED HELP WITH PET FOOD. WE PROVIDE EDUCATION TO THE PUBLIC REGARDING CARE FOR THEIR PETS, SPAY/NEUTER AND HEARTWORM PREVENTION/CARE. WE HAVE HELD EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AT PRESCHOOLS TO EDUCATE CHILDREN ON SAFE INTERACTIONS WITH DOGS, AND PROVIDE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES TO CHILDREN AND ADULTS.
