Gencure operates the Texas Cord Blood Program aimed at providing the miraculous gift of life through the donation of umbilical cord blood collected after birth of healthy babies. 188 cord blood units were banked in 2018, 32 life-saving transplants were realized to treat children and adults suffering from life-threatening illnesses and 219 units were provided for research. The Center for Apheresis & Therapeutic Services Program is dedicated to the education and recruitment of bone marrow and stem cell donors, and to matching donations with patients in need.
