The mission of the Monsignor King Outreach Center is to render emergency assistance, care and comfort to members of the Denton County community who are experiencing homelessness by providing shelter, a nourishing meal and supportive services in collaboration with other community agencies.

About

We provided overnight shelter to the homeless population of Denton three nights a week and during periods of inclement weather. On one sheltering night a week, clients were provided with an evening meal. On all sheltering nights, clients were provided a place to sleep, guidance, and referrals to local service agencies. In addition, Alcoholics Anonymous meetings are provided once a week. All of the services above were provided by volunteers. The Center has no paid staff. Security and accounting services are provided by independent contractors and are compensated.
