Mission

Colorado Jobs With Justice is a permanent formal coalition of labor, community, faith, and youth organizations which come together to work on social and economic justice in a way that crosses lines of sectar, race and class to win concrete futures for working people

About

In 2018, we were able to successfully implement all goals and plans from our 2017 retreat. Dividing all organizational work into 3 core programs: steering committee & mobilization, popular education & training, and strategic campaigns - which are divided into 3 pillars: anti-gentrification, educational equity, workers rights. Within our SC, we added 4 sub committees to help drive the work: communications, fundraising, mobilization and popular education. All sub-committees include SC members, staff and board members. This increased capacity to: bringing in new organization & communities to diversify & train members/activists to take action in our goals. National training: we work with unions and organizations to identify leaders and provide support and training for those members. The main mechanism we use to develop potential leaders is our 3 day, intensive national JWJ training, which is designed to develop skills and relationships for successful organizing.
