CAREERWISE COLORADO HAS EMERGED AS THE FIRST ORGANIZATION IN THE COUNTRY TO DEVELOP A STATEWIDE, BUSINESS-LED, MODERN YOUTH APPRENTICESHIP SYSTEM. IN JUST FOUR YEARS, CAREERWISE HAS NOT ONLY BROUGHT TOGETHER A NETWORK OF COLORADO BUSINESSES AND SCHOOLS WHO ARE REDEFINING APPRENTICESHIP FOR THE 21ST CENTURY BUT CAREERWISE HAS ALSO BUILT THE CAPACITY TO CONSULT WITH COMMUNITIES AROUND THE COUNTRY WHO ARE BUILDING SIMILAR PROGRAMS AND SYSTEMS. CAREERWISE TOOLS, TECHNOLOGIES AND PROCESSES, BUILT AND REFINED IN COLORADO, ARE NOW BEING LEVERAGED BY A GROWING NATIONAL NETWORK OF PARTNER INITIATIVES SEEKING TO CLOSE THE GAP BETWEEN EDUCATION AND EMPLOYMENT TO ENABLE MORE EQUITABLE ECONOMIC OUTCOMES. SUCCESSFUL APPRENTICES ARE POSITIONED FOR EQUAL SUCCESS IN CAREER OR COLLEGE, WIDENING THE DOOR TO OPPORTUNITY AND CULTIVATING A MORE SKILLED WORKFORCE FOR A QUICKLY-CHANGING ECONOMY.CAREERWISE COLORADO IS HONORED TO HAVE BLOOMBERG PHILANTHROPIES, THE BILL & MELINDA GATES FOUNDATION, AND JP MORGAN CHASE FOUNDATION AMONG NATIONAL FUNDERS WHO HAVE SUPPORTED THE PILOTING OF MODERN YOUTH APPRENTICESHIP IN THE UNITED STATES BY INVESTING IN CAREERWISE'S SYSTEM. WITH ADDITIONAL SUPPORT FROM LOCAL FUNDERS INCLUDING THE DANIELS FUND AND THE COLORADO HEALTH FOUNDATION, THE ORGANIZATION HAS SECURED MORE THAN 22 MILLION OF PHILANTHROPIC AND GOVERNMENT INVESTMENT.CAREERWISE COLORADO IS AN INTERMEDIARY ORGANIZATION BROKERING NEW, FORMAL RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN BUSINESSES AND STUDENTS AND THE SCHOOLS WHERE THEY LEARN, INCLUDING BOTH K-12 INSTITUTIONS AND INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION.
