Mission

To lift families from homelessness and instability to independence and self-sufficiency through Transitional Housing, Affordable Housing and Youth Education Programs.

About

The Housing Program consists of transitional and affordable housing units provided to homeless and low income families. The program includes 45 apartments to provide below market rental rates to residents in the City of Alexandria. During 2019, 6 apartments were designated for housing homeless families coming from shelters in Alexandria. These families pay 30% of their income as a program fee. The transitional program is a two-year program designed to provide education, counseling, job placement, and financial and budget mentoring to stabilize the families so they will be able to move into their own housing when they leave the program.
