IN 2018-2019, GSNCCP SERVED A TOTAL OF 24,422 GIRLS. PROGRAMS ARE A CORNERSTONE OF THE GIRL SCOUT LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE. FROM BUILDING ROBOTS, TO LEARNING THE IMPORTANCE OF PERSONAL FINANCE OR CAMPING OUT UNDER THE STARS, GIRL MEMBERS EXPERIENCE A WIDE RANGE OF EXTRAORDINARY OPPORTUNITIES. GSNCCP HAS FIVE MAIN PROGRAM INITIATIVES: THE OUTDOORS, HEALTHY LIVING, STEM, CITIZENSHIP AND STEWARDSHIP, AND LEADERSHIP. PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED TO TEACH GIRLS LIFE SKILLS THAT WILL POSITIVELY IMPACT THEIR FUTURE. IN 2018-2019, GSNCCP PROVIDED OUTREACH PROGRAMS TO 8,802 GIRLS FROM UNDER-RESOURCED FAMILIES.THE GIRL SCOUT GOLD AWARD STANDS FOR EXCELLENCE AND LEADERSHIP AND IS THE HIGHEST AND MOST PRESTIGIOUS ACHIEVEMENT IN GIRL SCOUTING. WHEN A GIRL SCOUT EMBARKS ON HER AWARD JOURNEY, SHE COMMITS TO TAKE ACTION AND CREATE A LASTING CHANGE IN HER COMMUNITY. SHE DEMONSTRATES SIGNIFICANT LEADERSHIP, PLANNING, NETWORKING AND ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS IN COMPLETING HER PROJECT. IN 2018-2019, GSNCCP AWARDED 64 GIRLS WITH THE GOLD AWARD. SILVER AWARDS WERE EARNED BY 166 GIRLS AND BRONZE AWARDS WERE EARNED BY 525 GIRLS.
