SEE SCHEDULE O:CHILD WELFARE: 2,321 CHILDREN SERVED JFCS PROVIDES AN INTEGRATED SYSTEM OF CARE FOR ABUSED, ABANDONED, NEGLECTED AND AT-RISK CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES IN DUVAL AND NASSAU COUNTIES. AS A SUBCONTRACTOR OF FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES OF NORTH FLORIDA, INC., JFCS PROVIDES: FOSTER CARE: 660 CHILDREN RECEIVED CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES TO ENSURE THEIR SAFETY, WELL-BEING AND SAFE REUNIFICATION WITH THEIR FAMILY, WHENEVER POSSIBLE. PREVENTION: THROUGH STEPS, THE FAMILIES OF 500 AT-RISK CHILDREN RECEIVED VOLUNTARY IN-HOME PARENTING, BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION, BUDGETING AND REFERRALS TO AVOID THEIR CHILDREN'S ENTRY INTO FOSTER CARE. THROUGH FAST, 1,200 AT-RISK YOUTH (AND THEIR FAMILIES) RECEIVED INTENSE IN-HOME SERVICES AND CASE MANAGEMENT TO ENSURE SAFETY WITHIN THE HOME. ADOPTION: 140 FOSTER CHILDREN WHO COULD NOT SAFELY RETURN TO THEIR BIRTH PARENTS WERE PLACED WITH THEIR NEW FOREVER FAMILIES. SUPERVISED VISITATION: VISITATION SPECIALISTS SUPERVISED 3,000 VISITS BETWEEN CHILDREN AND PARENTS, THREE TIMES PER WEEK, HELPING THEM REBUILD ATTACHMENTS AND PAVING THE WAY FOR FAMILY REUNIFICATION. VISITS ALLOW PARENTS A VENUE TO PRACTICE SKILLS LEARNED, WHILE AFFORDING CASE MANAGERS AND VISITATION SPECIALISTS AN OPPORTUNITY TO ASSESS SAFETY AND FAMILY INTERACTION. HIGH RISK NEWBORN: 600 CHILDREN AND PARENTS RECEIVED THERAPEUTIC AND CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES TO STRENGTHEN BONDING AND ATTACHMENT AND IMPROVE OUTCOMES FOR YOUNG CHILDREN.
