The early education program serves 580 youngsters between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years, from families living at or below the federal poverty level. FFDC provides individualized infant care and quality early childhood education, utilizing a research-based curriculum that encourages social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. In addition, health care and behavioral health screenings and interventions are provided to identify and address any concerns that may interfere with a child's ability to reach their full potential. Two balanced meals plus a healthy snack are provided daily. This holistic approach encompassing all developmental areas ensures that young children are prepared to enter school able to accomplish school-oriented milestones and lifelong achievement.
