PROVIDES THE FOLLOWING:- FREE CARE AND/OR SUBSIDIZED CARE WHERE THE NEED AND/OR AN INDIVIDUAL'S INABILITY TO PAY COEXIST,- CARE PROVIDED TO PERSONS COVERED BY GOVERNMENTAL PROGRAMS AT BELOW COST, AND- HEALTH ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMS TO SUPPORT THE COMMUNITYTHESE ACTIVITIES INCLUDE WELLNESS PROGRAMS, COMMUNITY EDUCATION PROGRAMS, AND SPECIAL PROGRAMS FOR THE ELDERLY, HANDICAPPED, MEDICALLY UNDERSERVED, AND A VARIETY OF BROAD COMMUNITY SUPPORT ACTIVITIES.BAPTIST MEDICAL CENTER - YAZOO, INC. OFFERS 25 BEDS WHICH CAN BE UTILIZED (SWING) BETWEEN ACUTE CARE AND REHABILITATIVE CARE AND A 24/7 EMERGENCY ROOM. WITHIN THE FACILITY, THE HOSPITAL OFFERS SPECIALTY CLINICS IN THE AREAS OF: CARDIOLOGY, GENERAL SURGERY, CATARACT AND EYE SURGERY, GI/ENDOSCOPY SERVICES, ORTHOPEDIC, PODIATRY, OB-GYN AND WOUND CARE, AS WELL AS A PRIMARY CARE CLINIC AND A GERIATRIC DAY PROGRAM.
