OUTPATIENT COUNSELING & CONSULTING SERVICES:The Organization is one of the few nonprofit substance use disorder agencies in Northern Nevada that incorporates evidence-based practices including Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy (MDFT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into service delivery. The Organization provides outpatient therapy for adults and adolescents with substance use disorders, mental health conditions and co-occurring disorders (substance use coupled with mental health); research indicates that treating both issues simultaneously is the most effective approach for clients. Services provided include individual, group and family counseling which facilitates learning and the development of tools and skills for life management. The Organization contracts with a child psychologist to ensure the most appropriate interventions including psychological testing, psychiatric assessment and diagnosis and medication management.
