About this organization
Mission
The Center for Transforming Lives works side-by-side with women and their children throughout Tarrant County to disrupt the cycle of poverty by providing comprehensive homeless services, early childhood education, economic mobility services, and clinical counseling.
About
Child and Family Development Centers. The centers prepare children from birth to age 5 from low-income families for success in kindergarten with intensive early education. The parents benefit from individualized financial education and coaching. The center believes that dual generation anti-poverty intervention is the most effective way to create economic mobility moving women and their children out of poverty. The center is one of very few providers in Tarrant County for children between birth and age 5 who are homeless. 15% of the 311 children cared for by the center are children from homeless families. If children are in care their mothers can work and get out of homelessness.
