Mission
To provide preeminent, innovative educational and cultural enrichment activities to 120 to 150 youth and adults of Georgetown, SC and their families, and to nurture and support positive development in their communities aimed at improving their quality of life.
About
Served nearly 400 participants in 10 different programs in the areas of health and fitness, career-oriented STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) activities and entrepreneurial mentoring, dance and visual art. The four signal achievements in this year were the completion of the construction on the Mitney Center which is located in the underserved west end of the community of 2000 residents. The center includes a dedicated medical office, houses summer camp programs for underprivileged youths to include free lunches during the summer. Volunteers contributed over 1222 hours to help the center accomplish its goals.
