Mission

To share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to unreached groups in Ethiopia. To give care to children in Ethiopia who have been abandoned or removed from parental care by government authority.

About

Working alongside indigenous Ethiopian churches, NewLife Ethiopia supported 28 same-tribe, same-language missionary-evangelists working in 22 Muslim villages to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ. 4,545 people heard the Gospel for the first time with 567 becoming Christ-followers followed by personal discipleship; 69 were baptized. Three new house churches were birthed and are flourishing. An area-wide training workshop for Christian leaders offered training in evangelism strategies, basic Bible and dynamics of church planting. 60 children in a rural Muslim village received an outstanding educational foundation along with Christian introduction and reinforcement of positive character basics. NewLife provides full financial resources for an orphanage caring for 32 abandoned children resulting in 10 children adopted to Ethiopian families. 3 babies died due to complications of severe malnutrition at intake. Two groups from America were hosted by NewLife Ethiopia. One group worked at the orphanage doing projects, the other interfacing with kindergarten children and doing service projects with a church. 7 homes were constructed to replace falling down huts in a very poor Muslim village. One special needs kindergarten girl received much-needed rehabilitation at a hospital
