Mission

The Tucson Jewish Community Center's mission to cultivate and enrich Jewish identity and to ensure Jewish continuity. Furthermore, it is to foster communal harmony by providing quality educational, social, cultural, and recreational services for the people of Tucson, AZ. All services are developed by democratic decision making and enhanced by a wellness philosophy. These services are provided to members and guests of all ages in an environment designed to creatively meet the needs and aspirations of individuals, families, and groups within available resources.

Early childhood and camp: The Tucson Jewish Community Center (TJCC) was formed in 1949 and is steeped in the tradition of offering exciting year-round programs for people of every age, especially children. Children's programming begins at 6 weeks old with our infant/toddler program and continues through adolescence with our teen/youth programs. Our early childhood program (ECE) serves more than 300 children daily year-round. Our summer camping programs are accredited by the American Camping Association. (ACA) and serve approximately 500 children. Many of our early childhood and camp participants are able to attend through fee reductions granted based on financial need. Last year we gave out 1,140,473 in scholarships and discounts for programming and membership.
