The Hepatitis Education Project is committed to improving health of underserved communities disproportionately impacted by viral hepatitis. Low-barrier services: Our service delivery model is designed to simplify access to care and help overcome barriers that are derived from social and community determinants of health equity. Our goal is to help people access the support and services they need, where they are, when they need it, without judgement. Harm reduction: Meeting people where they are at and the ideology of reducing harm is a guiding principle for our programs and services, which governs how we engage with individuals. We actively promote evidence-based policies and practical strategies that keeps people safe and reduces the negative consequences associated with drug use.

Viral hepatitis education, testing, and linkage to care: Hep provides education to clients, providers, and organizations, free hepatitis C and B testing, linkage to care, and free hepatitis A/B vaccination. In 2018, Hep tested 1,842 people for hepatitis C and 125 people for hepatitis B, administered 517 doses of hepatitis A/B vaccine, and had over 6,000 encounters with Hep's medical case management.
