About this organization
Mission
Civic Education. The League of Women Voters of WA Education Fund works to strengthen the public's knowledge of government in Washington State. We sponsor and support nonpartisan educational projects to help the public better understand major public policy issues and become informed and active participants in their communities.
About
A major revision of our civics textbook, The State Your'e In: Washington, Your Guide to State, Local and Tribal Government, was completed. A revised method of shipping ordered books was implemented, in response to increased sales taking place on-line. Several new approaches to marketing our textbook have been adopted. In addition, we have benefited from state legislation enabling our textbook to be a primary resource as the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instructions works with teachers throughout the state to revise the book's Teacher's Guide to new, more interactive methods of teaching.
